3D
Intraoral Scanner
A small handheld wand that creates a digital 3D model of your teeth in minutes.
An intraoral scanner uses structured-light cameras inside a pen-sized wand to capture a precise digital 3D model of the full upper and lower arch. The scan is exact to a fraction of a millimetre and replaces the older method of taking putty impressions. The 3D model can be viewed on the chairside screen and shared digitally with the dental lab.
What it's used for
- Designing crowns, bridges and dentures
- Planning clear aligner treatment
- Creating surgical guides for implant placement
- Tracking changes in tooth alignment over time
